brushless twin force - 03.23.2007, 09:38 AM

well i have seen a few on here and well my 820 motor set-up is just too heavy, nice power but heavy

so any recommendations on a nice set-up...
looking to use 14-16cells (maybe more)
and speeds of around 45-50mph

also what upgrades do i need? probably buggy diffs buy the looks of it, i have heard they fit
cheers

Welcome!

Get a Mamba Max controller with a 1950/7 Lehner motor and 4s lipos. Try not to use sub c cells, since you can aquire higher speeds with lipos. If you insist, 14 cells( of high quality) with the 1950/7 will surely take you to a mid 40s or even low 50s.

A couple of guys on here have BL TF's...Promod and Dafni. A good start would be going through some of these threads:

if you still need to upgrade to 4spider diffs or so and to steel r&p you may want the hotbodies diffs, lightning ones. also need shims.
dont get the pro, as those are 4.3/1 instead of 3.3/1, i got the 4.3's and already regret it before using them. it will be slow with them in it. but i'm not going BL on this one. any questions ask us about it.:027:

Yup, these motors are as good as the Lehners. I'd definately go for one of them.

And about 1.5-2X the weight also. IMO, if you're going to spend the money to go Neu or Lehner, spend the money to go Lipo.

i would be woried to fit a neu in the stock tranny, there's not much space at all. i'd take the save route and get a lehner 1940 or 1950.
but then there are no 4mm bore pinion's for the 1940 in 32p.
