Yes it will, just like the MM handles 4S perfectly with a BEC installed. I believe the major difference between Sidewinder and its bigger brothers is the number of MOSFETs mounted, which affects current spec, not voltage.

Well if that's true, maybe I'll try 6s on it....

that will not go so well I think... I plugged 5s into mine after having GriffinRu
stage 1 mods done and it went up in a ball of flame.

5s worked on my mini rage when the pack was at nominal voltage.18.5. when i peaked the lipos 21v, it stuttered and the smoked. ran 73mph in 1.7 seconds using tekin mini rage with 8.0kv mini motor.

in drag racing it never reaches full rpm. over gearing actually makes it take of faster, so im guessing it only saw 50,000rpm

It will work on 4s with BEC and no cap installed, but we will not cover the ESC under warranty if something happens when running on 4s. Make sure your batteries are more than capable of the current draw. 20C rating and 1500mah+.

No need to change the caps...they'll handle 4s just fine as long as you use a capable battery pack. I've run 4s on a 6800...stupid fast...stock up on diff sets. LOL
