SOB! Did I ruin my MMM Castle? - 05.17.2009, 02:48 PM

Ok, I feel like a complete and utter nimrod today after I got back from my bash session. I was cleaning my Flux when I took off the RX cover and I about fainted when I saw. I had pinched the wiring from the ESC between the chassis and the cover. Luckily, it looks like it only went through the outer coating and my Flux drove fine with no issues that I could tell and I was able to connect to my Castle Creations link with no issues, but i'm still worried that I might have ruined my expensive ESC as a result of my stupidity

Any suggestions Castle or am I farked? I put some electric tape over it and ran software updates on the CC link and doesn't seem to have a problem, but im still concerned....

I would put a little hot glue on the wire to protect the strands. And don't do that again!

Think your over reacting a bit. You can do what linc said or take a small portion of the wire out and resolder it with heatshrink and everything.

Not that one - it would have to go back through HPI...............but there's nothing wrong with it.

Pull the wires apart from each other and fold a bit of electrical tape around the individual damaged areas, then wrap more tape (or heatshrink) around the whole section of cable.
