I want to build a brushless monster truck. I am tired of Nitro I have a savage x with a .28 turbo motor and a revo 2.5 with an rb motor.. I was thinking about converting one of them using a fastlane or tekno conversion but I am leary on how hard they would be to convert.. I was also thinking about converting and lst2 or aftershock. They look the easiest. Looks like just a motor mount swap and make a batteyr holder.. but you don't see many people doing them. What do you guys think? Is an LST2 easier to convert over a revo or savage?

The revo is the easiest to convert I would say - RCM motor mount - Tekno battery tray and you are pretty much done.

I few transmission mods depending on what route you take - i.e. lock in second etc but lots of instructions on here. You would need to move to a single steering servo and fab a esc mount but that is pretty easy.

LST Conversions are nice... and pretty simple...

What are you planning to use it for? Bashing I would say go with the FLM Savage Kit. I think its just absolutly awesome for bashing with the lipos being protected inside the chassis.

EDIT: Especially if you already have a Savage to convert.

Convert one and convert the other later. The savage conversion seems fairly straight forward to me but I haven't finished mine yet.

Well I bought and MGT and LST an Rc10Gt today.. it was to cheap not to.. So I think I am going to make the LST my first conversion.. and sell the others to support the brushless fund.. thanks for all of the advice so far..

Good choice with the LST, I've had mine for a few months and still haven't broke anything. I did loose a wheel nut last weekend and still drove it on 3 wheels. It was pretty cool.:)

I don't understand how people are able to drive their lsts and not break anything. We normally break something every time we go out which usually ends the day. I have to say that those wheel nuts are a pain on the LST. My mates loose them all the time. I don't know if they forget to loctite them but they always loose wheels.

only problem I've had were the wheels kept getting rounded from the hexes.. but a simple upgrade to 23mm solved the problem..

So for my first brushless conversion I was thinking about geting a Mamba rec/motor and using the fine design motor mounts. I was also going to get a stock aftershock tranny.. Would I be disapointed with this? I wanted my first one with a less expensive setup before I go all out and buy a neu and expensive speed controller.. Ya?Na?
