Does this all sound good for a 1/8 buggy set up?

So i think this is all i need to make my kyosho mp7.5 electric if you see something i need tell me. Feigao 540L - 10L Brushless Motor (10trn, 5mm shaft, 61A, 2458kv) a Apache 5s 18.5v 3700mah LiPo Battery Pack, a Brushless Motor Mount from rc-monster, a 5mm bore, mod1 pinion not sure how many teeth yet theo. and RC-Monster Battery Tray O and a mmm.

Many people including myself have found the Feigao "L" motors to run too hot, and the 10L on 5s would certainly be no exception. I would suggest a Feigao 9XL and 14t pinion gear, along with 5s Lipo.

ok thanks for the info will i need to change the other gear to or can i keep the stock one?

You can use the Kyosho 46t plastic spur gear that RC-Monster carries, and it is advisable to use to reduce wear on the pinion and to also decrease the noise between the gears (steel pinion + steel spur is pretty loud).

ok thanks for all the help now about the liop charging it do i charge it all the and when i drive do i let it go all the way down?

You need a specific lipo charger - the hyperion ones are nice.

The MMM has a LVC (low voltage cutoff) that will protect the battery from going under 3v per cell i.e. 15v for your battery.

ok but do i heard that u are not suppose to let a lipo battery go all the way down is that true and i also heard that u are not suppose to charge it all the way is this true?

Read Arct1k's post again. He answered you.

You use a charger that is specific to LiPo. Yes, you let the charge complete, and the packs should be balanced during or after each charge.

The ESC will automatically cut off at voltage for you, BEFORE you run them all the way flat. You can specify the voltage to use. Generally 3.0v is considered safe, but I think most of us stop around 3.2v to try and squeeze longer life from the pack.

Balance packs before or during the charge, never after. If you carge an unbalanced pack fully, one cell could go over 4.2v. I like the balancers (v balance, lba10) that you can charge thru. That way the balancer has control over the charge, and if a cell goes over 4.2v the balancer can interupt the charge. really safe that way. Plus you spend less time, as the balancing happens during the charge. Almost every time I charge the balancing is done before the pack is fully charged.

if you can spend a few extra bucks get the 0610i it has a higher output, and can charge up to 10amps

ok will that make a difference in how fast the battery will charge?
