MM braking weirdness.. on my Hyper ST truggy - 07.06.2008, 12:55 PM

Finally got my Hyper ST finished and have been driving it around testing it. All looks good except I'm having trouble getting the elec brakes to work how I like.

Basically there is very light braking action, then all of a sudden very hard brakes nearly locking the front wheels.

Setup is this:

Hyper ST truggy
4S/8XL/MM
7/10/3 diffs
Futaba fasst radio
brake curve linear
brk str 20% on MM
brk str on radio: 16%
Epas @ 100%
Brk Exponential on radio set from 0% then last time 40%.. no effect really.

Now, the weird part is if I go down one more notch on the radio brk str, to 14%, the brakes are basically gone. I'm not really sure how to dial more brakes in on partial brk w/o causing severe braking at the high end. I fiddled drawing curves in castle link, but just left it to linear as I wasn't getting it right. Plus I can easily dial exp on the radio.

I've had this MM on my CRT.5 I didn't have such an issue. Any ideas?
I'm really missing the feel of the manual brakes on my Revo. :(

adjust the braking curve on the MM so that where the brakes get hard flatten out the curve

No effect. No brakes until full trigger, then just hard brakes. WTF

DX3? Have you set that channel to exp? I would reset your TX and MM to defaults and reset your end points on the MM.
