Another MM Q ~ Lawn Dart - 07.26.2008, 09:39 PM

As the title says I bought one of those $29 skate ramps from Toys R US, put a few bricks under the back for more air and was doing some 6-10ft jumps with my 8T till I lawn darted.. hard The MM shut off and when I turned it back on it had real soft tones. Nothing came loose or broke just the MM alert volumes are about 1/3 as loud when turning it on or the intermittent beeps. Seemed to run fine after that just low volumes. Did I just jar the speaker ?Anyone have this issue ?

there is no speaker, it plays the tone by vibrating the motor, check to see if the motor is mounted tight

Yea the sound definitely comes from the motor not the controller. I agree with brushlessboy check to see if the motor is tight.

In my Vendetta ST, when the Mamba25 beeps through the motor you can see the whole car move. :-)

so I played with the wires and it beeped loud again but I think I broke it lol. I took it off and compaired it to my other neu. The shaft goes back and forth in the can a few mm. (front to back) The other ones shaft doesnt move at all. The bearing looks a tad popped out on the rear endbell and the shaft doesnt poke out like it does on the one I didnt break. Heres a bad pic, should I send it to neu or take it apart and push the bearing in a bit ? this blows lol

broken on left, good on right

take the rear endbell off and inspect the internals. this will tell you what is going on inside.

I fly, I drive, but most of all I crash.

Far out, that must of been a really hard hit. Best thing would be to send it back to Neu
