help me tweak my setup.......... - 08.19.2008, 01:59 AM

ok, so now that I have a working MMM, I need a little help. With some moderate duty running in the grass, my MAX temps were as follows:

MMM: 140
Neu: 165
battery: 123

Setup:
Muggy (12lb monster truck w/ center diff)
Neu 1515 1Y (2200kv)
MMM v2
Hyperion 6S 4800mah 20C
12T pinion

I also have an 18T pinion, but really, I want to know, are these temps ok, or am I too close to a bad place? Outside temp was about 85, and these temps were after about 15-20min running in the grass. Seems everyone else is running cooler than I am.

BTW, you guys were right, BL is INSANE!! I'm hooked!! And while I get that people want the feel of mechanical brakes, hitting the brakes on this setup is like dropping an anchor!!! And the MMM is at 60% brake!!

Perfect temps... the motor is getting too hot when it get up to 190/200 degrees. The MMM is not even close to too hot.

Yep, for that setup (1515 1y on 6s) those temps are great.

All those temps sound pretty ideal IMO

I can't decide if its more fun
to make it...
or break it...

I like my brake at 50%- you can still do endos is you tap it too hard, but at 40% it just didnt have enough stopping power for me.

11lbs 11oz without batteries. Not so bad really, especially since 4lbs of weight is in the tyres.
