MMM died during start up -
11.09.2008, 07:01 PM
I did a test run with the MMM(15 or so runs on it already), and hit the cutoff and charged the pack. With the fresh charged pack, I plugged it up, got some of the beeps...then nothing. Updated firmware right before this. Good connections, etc. It wont power up, but it will still program via the link. No smoke, no fire, quite un eventful.

Is the switch still on there? If so, remove it as several others have reported switch problems that have made their MMMs seem dead.

Just a thought... have you tried recalibrating it to your radio/checking your radio's endpoints, trims etc? I'm just thinking that it's possible that your radio's throttle channel could've been knocked out of trim when you changed the cells, resulting in the MMM refusing to fully arm. It's a long shot, but worth checking out.
I had that problem with one of my MMs once...it took me ages to figure it out. Wouldn't respond at all until I realised I'd messed up the radio settings.

I had some of mine do that. They were dead as far as I could tell. I didn't play with mine to much after they stopped working as the first one I had that I did keep trying to get working eventually went pop (no smoke just a pop). Basically unplug it and plug it back in keep switching it on and off and chances are you will eventually lose the ability to program it as well.

Tried reversing, setting trims, etc. Even with no radio on it should still light up the Rx, which is doesnt. And the switch is fine. The fan has always worked on it also.....
