Titanium CRT .5 - 04.04.2009, 09:20 AM

Updated CRT.5 - I picked up a great deal on the CNC parts so picked up front and rear Hubs, Knuckles and the Servo saver...

Then I stumbled across these Lunsford titanium grinder links and thought they'd beef up the .5 nicely...

Lastly I replaced the flimsy top front turnbuckle with a 4mm 20mm gub screw and revo rod end...

I was going to mount the esc behind the battery but then decided to lift it off the chassis to avoid dirt/water - instead I made a custom top plate over centre diff.

This should make everything a bit more robust...

I spy a Medusa Motor in there. LOL

Which motor is it and what voltage do you have it on?

Do the Diffs hold up pretty well in these?

I have yet to hear or anyone blowing up a diff in these. I run mine on a 4s Neu 1509 1.5Y and the diffs are smooth as butter. I'd really like to get some of those CNC hubs and carriers, if they'd show up somewhere for a reasonable price I'd jump on them.
Those Ti links look great for the rear as well , I have some Lunford Ti turn buckles coming in the mail for my front end, can't wait for them to get here

Nice Chris...I would love to do the F&R and steering servo AL upgrades, but the price..ouch! If bought all together form say Tower, it would total over $200- for the pieces!

I blew a diff. The little collar on the front bevel gear somehow seperated from the rest of the bevel gear. Probably an isolated incident. Tough to spot too as it stayed together because the outdrive held the parts in place, the only way I found it was when I was swapping oil and happened to see it.

Yes I have two both with Medusa 3300 50mm - one on 2s and one on 3s
