need tire opinions on glue and rims - 01.10.2009, 04:42 PM

so i just got my ebay auction, duratrax warhead stock tires, and proline road rage tires with half offset rims. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...m=220335715421

the road rage's have off set rims, the duratrax don't. all tires were barley glued so i removed them from rim. the rims are almost brand new, the chrome isn't even flaking.
Question is should i keep the road rages on the offset or use the offset rims the offroad tire?

also for tire glue anyone try http://www.gorillaglue.com/glues/superglue/index.aspx it say impact strength

or is tire specific super glue really that much better (shock resistant) and what not

also do you know what brand the blue rim is?

lastly is 13.6 oz heavy for a monster truck tire w/ rim and foam ?
sorry for question purge
thanks

i would advise using the medium thickness super glue main cuz they will come off clean when you boil them to change tires. Not sure if gorilla glue will

as I understand it(my educated guess) super glue is ca glue, and isn't tire specific. I have used super glue and ca tire glue interchangeably and gotten the same results.

gorilla glue, silicone, anything you want will hold a tire on, with ca or super glue tere are ways to get the tire off

Skip the glue and get a set of beadlocks!!! I don't know if I'll ever run glued tires on my MT ever again!

I run silicone with my beadlocks. I've tried pro-lines, axials, and maximizers, and like maximizers the best, but have still had the bead pull out in spots. The silicone gives a little extra hold and cleans up fairly easily.
