4s MM - 01.01.2009, 01:01 PM

On 4s, I would also run a ccbec...

1. MBX-6 T8 1900KV, RX8 ON 4S
2. MBX-5T 1520, MMM ON 5S
3. MBX-5 ONROAD CONVERSION 1515, MMM ON 5S
4. MRX-3 ON ROAD CONVERSION 1512, MMM ON 6S
5. TEN T 2650 T8, MMP ON 3S

I would read my Emaxx FAQ and skip to the parts about BL and esc modification...

Brian's website explains all you need to know with regards to wiring- you need to take the redwire out of the rx lead to disable the built in BEC.

The esc plug that plugs into your rx...remove the red wire, DON'T cut the wire, just remove the wire from the plug end, and you are good to go...don't forget to secure the wire in case you need it again

You'll need a heatsink and/or forced cooling with an 8 turn, maybe consider a 9XL and gear higher. I have run my MM successfully for almost 6 months (in a 14.4 pound truck) with no mods other than disconnecting the internal bec, (I use a receiver pack) and adding a fan to the MM, just so I never get thermals.

hmm, so i should shoot for the or 10 xl?? i have the perfect setup idea regarding the red wire, but are the servo plugs/connectors easy to find. i wana shorten the MM lead, then be able to use 2 diff extensions (with n without red wires) to work differently between my T-maxx and pede. So im getting that i dont need to install a cap? what rx packs would u guys suggest for a T-maxx??? thnx!

Personally I always add an extra cap - I had two blow up without caps - since adding caps all of mine have been fine... no other changes...

If it helps mike adds the extra cap to - it is only a $4 mod...

the extensions work well.

i wouldn't use a rx pack, i'd use a bec.

i'd add a cap, here's one http://www.rc-monster.com/proddetail...=35vcap&cat=21

Close the esc as possible on the power lines...

Strip off a small amount of insulation about 1cm back from ESC on battery wires and solder in cap leads - again keep them as short as possible.

do you already have the esc? if you dont. i suggest just getting a mmm. you will end up spending just as much getting a mm ready for 4s when you could already have a mmm for the same price.

$35 and a good amount of space would be wasted. it'd have fit in my pede, and i would be tempted to go 6s
