1. Cut a section of 2x4 for the top of the stand, make it as long as your car's chassis
2. cut a 3-4'' section of 2x4 and attach it to the underside of the top piece with screws or nails. (at this point it should look like a "T"
3. Cut another section of wood about the same size as the first to make a Base for your stand and attach it to the short vertical piece.
4. Place your truck onto the stand and mark the location of positioning pegs, when finished these will keep the truck from sliding off in every direction.
5. Use the Finishing nails as positioning pins and nail them where you just marked.
6. Cut your drawer liner to the thickness and length of the 2x4 so that it covers the top surface entirely.
7. Push the liner down over the nails so that it cannot slide and sits flat on the wood.
8. Cut heatshrink to size and place about 2-3 layers on the nails to keep them from squeaking on aluminum chassis's
And thats how its done. here is mine finished.
