RC8TE steering.... - 05.03.2009, 12:51 AM

Hey guys, I have a RC8TE using a JR8711 servo with a dynamite servo arm. The stocker sucked and I went with this arm for more throw, but its still does not give me any better steering radius then about 42" either way and the EPA is set to max. Are you guys using a longer servo arm then the dynamite's??? My losi 8T 2.0 using the same servo and arm turns around 34" radius. I am trying to get it to turn that tight as its costing me valuable time on the track on tight turns since I have to take them wide.

You can do the steering mod...google rc8t steering mod and it should show up..I haven't done it yet but perhaps someone who has can chime in....my rc8t turns fine ( posibly due to the fact that I'm driving a lot slower:)) but I think the mod gives the rc8t more steering throw...not sure though

are your sure your epa and exp are at max on your radio? you should have alot more throw than that... make sure your steering knuckles are travleing all the way to the stops on the C-hubs, your not getting this then you might need a longer arm....

Yeah EPA is set to 125 both left and right. Also the knuckles do not make it all the way to the C hubs.

Yeah, dual rate. I'm not sure which radio you use, but if it has epa I'm sure it has a d/r adjustment too. If it got moved it would act like the epa is at less than 100%.

Was the dual rate the problem?
