Vid of LT-200A ESC in action in CRT.5 - 11.01.2009, 12:21 AM

I've been running the LT-200A sensored ESC in my CRT.5. I ran around 6-8 packs with an LRP-X11 3.5T motor. Was pretty quick and smooth. Since I have some more movement in my right arm now, I soldered up the new Hacker motor(6000KV) that I recently got. I like it alot better and it's stays cold. The LRP got to 149F after the pack dumped and the ESC at 119F or so. I can probably gear higher for dragracing, but it's pretty quick to bash with right now. I busted up one of my foam tires in the vid.

That thing has zero grip there lol

Oh btw... where did you get that braided sleeving? The only online shops who got it got a minimum order of 1000+ meters
EDIT: Already got it...

naah, I never use a gyro. If I can't control the vehicle, I need to setup the vehicle better or just have better throttle control. The street was dusty and having more torque than usual doesn't help either.
I need to built me some new foam tires as I messed up both front tires in the vid.

When I get more free time, I'll give a new tire material a try to see if it can actually provide better traction then the foams currently on the market. The only problem I'll have is making a tire mold, but I might have a few ideas.

I really like the Ipanema rubber tires. Good stuff.

I met with a guy who represents them (Not sure if he's the founder). He came to my LHS one race night trying to introduce the brand, but his English was not so good. He got interested in my products though lol. Good guy and he had a bunch of the 8th scale rubber tires mounted with him. My uncle who owns a factory that makes tires protectors said he was interested in making tire for me, but I haven't heard much from him. My cousin said they started making drag racing tires. The material that I'm going to try is said to have better wear resistance then the best foam though and might also be better then the rubber tires. I got to try it out though before coming to a conclusion. I just need the time. Right now, I'm going back and forth keeping my daughter busy and keeping a few clients happy.

It would be cool if you could make rubber tires. Those ipanemas have so much grip on concrete and zero balooning.

I bought 4 A123 cells from Holmes Hobbies and homeboy ships quick. I was going to get me some G3 Lipos, but the A123's were just a good deal. Anyways, I built the pack really quick and ran 3 packs through the crt.5.

Brian calculator spits out 70mph. It looks more like 65mph. The motor just goes nuts on 11.7 volts and the poor crt doesn't know what hits him. I'll do a vid again once my new foams come in. Motor is around 130F.

Nice vid. That thing looks pretty darned fast to me. Nice setup to Snelleman. It kind of reminded me of the old days running slot cars on a track. That thing really rips.

That a quick little guy for sure. I thought of the old road runner cartoons. Beep Beep Zip Tang! All you see is the coyotes standing there with his jaw dropped. Nice RC Snellemin.

Thanks fellas. You guys have to wait for the next vid for the real road runner. Still need to cycle the new battery pack a bit and the coyote will really see the dust.
