supermaxx diff kits - 02.21.2006, 09:39 PM

Ive got 2 questions about there 6 spyder ultra light kit. 1. Does it do the front and rear diff? 2. Is the diff case the same size and a stock diff case?

it fits where the standard diffs fit. It you have something that is close to it diameter wise it may be a problem.

Peace!

I'd suggest getting the 8 spyder's over the 6's. Alum housing mean's it won't twist, plastic housing can twist under power and thus destroying the little spider gear's inside.

i guess about 70 dollars.

The 6spiders use poor molded gears inside the diff.

The reason Sneeck gave is not true, the plastic diffcups of the 6spiders are very tough. the output is also from metal.

Not true? Try telling that to some UE forum member's who did twist the 6 spyder housing. It take's some power to do, but it isn't as strong as the 8 spyder's, thus for the difference in money you'd be better off with the 8 spyder's.

I'm not lying here...

Also there are better gear's availeble for the 6 spyder's, don't know if these will fit the 8 spyder's too.

Yes there casted. No I don't know if those will fit, they are for the 6 spyder diff's. I'm not sure if it will fit since the spyder size could be smaller with the 8 spyder's.

Worth a shot though.

But really, it take's some real effort to even damage those casted gear's. It's been done plenty of time's, but that doesn't mean you'll break it with a brushless set-up.
