i call them a trani case but anywho. i found one only so far and it was like 179.99. i almost dies at that price. can you get them any cheaoer fro a natural finish chrome

Nobody seems to have them in stock right now (only one or two places carry them).

I saw them somewhere for around $100. Not in stock, mind you.

why are they so expensive? is there a cheaper route that still looks clean?

They are expensive because there is a lot of machine work to do. They take time to make (unlike the plastic, which is poured into a mold)-they have to be milled on a machine.

I would probably also guess that the high price is a function of there not being enough demand to take advantage of economies of scale. It doesn't sound like there's much demand, so these parts get made in small quantities, and the manufacturers have to recover the fixed costs of production over fewer parts sold.
