putting 8xl and 12020 together

This is the first BL system I have put together and have a couple questions. Basic stock E-MAxx (MPI CVD, steel idler, strobe slipper) stock radio on 12-14 cells.

Question #1: I see a couple options for placing the controller, one is mounting above the area of the stock ESC. The second is making an L brace and place it where the 2nd Titan was then mounting on this. The first set up has the controller away from the receiver and two servos (both stock), but it will have longer wires. Mounted with the L mount it will have shorter wires, but will be over the electronics. Which would be the best se t up? Are there other setups you would recomend? Will putting on a L brace throw the weight off balance? WIll the other electronic cause too much interference with the controller?

Question #2 is wiring. The 12020 has two thick battery wires to be tined to a small Deans connector, what are your recommendations doing this for a novice?

Question #3 - the three sets of motor wires from the controlled, what order do they need to be wired to the motor?
