Since there is much more room inside of a 1/8 GT body I want to finally play around with my FlyCam and get some on-board video. I would like to have the camera looking directly out of the front windshield, and placing the camera at the center diff will allow this.
My concern is that making a platform high enough to see out of the windshield is going to require some fairly long L-brackets (attached to the brake mounting holes). I am wondering if these will amplify any vibrations and cause the camera to move and shake. So the idea I had is to use small pieces of fuel tubing or o-rings on the mounting screws. Also maybe put a piece of foam under the camera?
What do you guys think, will this work? Or should it be fine without that stuff? Or should I scrap this idea and find a different way to mount the cam altogether?
