Neu 1900 motors

Hi all,

Has anyone tested or considered using a Neu 1900 motor in their conversions? They're highly regarded motors in the heli world, offering very similar performance and Kv spec as outrunners, but they're 8 pole inrunners.

What do you think?

Not that I know of. I wonder what esc you could use to put the power on the ground?

Actually, yes there is one 1/8 buggy that I know of that has a 1900 series Neu.

I, personally would not use a 1900 series Neu. I would use a Neu 1521. It has a max power of about 3000 watts, which I think is more powerful than the 1900 series. Also the mounting holes on the 1521 are the standard 25mm spacing, but the screw size is 4mm. Which, I think, would be easier to mount in a 1/8 buggy...

CG, that's the setup that sparked my curiosity in the 1900s. :) Neu rate them to 3000 watts too BTW. Since the TrueRC setup the 1915 has been released.

Top ESCs in heli world are considered to be Kontronik and Schulze - both are used with these motors. Schulze seems to have a rep of smoking in cars, and Kontronik doesn't seem popular for some reason...

Do the car specific ESCs need 2 pole motors?

The BK's do, but the Quark and MM can run 4 polers, can't remembr the MGM and what it can do as I'm not too familiar with those.
