A few questions about the LSP - 12.02.2007, 12:06 AM

I've been thinking about doing an electric conversion on the Lightning Stadium Pro.

What gear ratio does this come with in the diffs?

How wide is the Chassis? Was just wondering how much room we have for batteries.

Sup Sike!

Diff ratio is 43/10, plenty of room for batteries, chassis is quite long, and about as wide as a buggy. You can also put the motor across from the steering servo and have the entire rear of the chassis for batteries, etc.

I have 2 LSPs sitting here that await finishing, Not sure about batteries yet, but I think I will go with 5s on both. I have both a 9 and 8xl motors here and a pair of 125b quarks.

Hi Linc,

What do you think your RTR weight will be?

I see what you mean about motor placement. This type of conversion holds alot of promise I think.

Such a low center of gravity!

If you don't have one already, wait. The new LSP2 will be coming out soon.

Not sure about the weight. I assume it will be similar to a revo that has a stock tranny. Wheel base is longer than a 3.3 revo though. I need to finish mine up, jst received my 5s 2200 packs that I intend to run in parallel. Of I have a 5s 5000 pack that I can use. Time to cut up another emaxx chassis for its trays!

When will it be coming out?

Is there anywhere I can get a preview of it?

I like how the LSP comes with alot of the tough upgrades already on it

that does look nice, but why do companies insist on hinge pins being held by e-clips? my XT8 does that too. although captured pins are an option - a $100 option to get everything you need.

That would be a VERY simple fix for the LSP. I still need to do it on mine, but there are pins that work. I can't remember what vehicle there off of. I think its the MP7.5 or MP777. Doesn't cost to much. Maybe $20

so why wasn't that inexpensive upgrade made to the new version? is there some benefit i'm not seeing to e-clips?

for the XT8, part of the captured pin upgrade is being able to fine tune the front kick up and rear anti-squat to match track conditions. so it is more than just captured pins only, i guess. although, why that wasn't added as a stock option is beyond me. probably would've taken the kit from $600 to $700.

I just got my LSP-R and it has threaded holes in the hinge pin braces for grub screws to "clamp" the hinge pins in place....

It comes with "e"-clips to hold them in and the grub screw hole are not used....I added grub screws as "back-up" if i loose an "e"-clip.....

Does anybody else do this to?

I have not had a Truggy/buggy yet, but I have been looking at the different models out there. Does this LSP2 compair to the Hellfire as far as toughness? I had been thinking of picking up a used Hellfires and converting it to brushless because of the way that it is built. It looks to be a pretty tough rig, especially with metal hop-ups already installed. Just curious how it matches up to the Hellfire, imputs appreciated. Thanks guys.

The LSP chassis is a little wider than the buggy, I have mikes LSP motor mount in my buggy and I had to cut the corner off so it would clear the turn up on the narrower buggy chassis.

What's wrong with E clips?

Hot Bodies Lightning 2 Pro carbon, Mega 22/30/2, MMM, 4s3-5Ah.
Tamiya F201 carbon, Mamba 7700, MM, 2s A123 2.3ah.
Xray XT8, 1518, MMM, 4s5Ah.
