What is the most powerful motor for a savage on 6s with the 3 speed and flm conversion?

I'd like something that pulls less amps.

Power = volts x amps

You said you want the most powerful motor, so you just contradicted yourself.

How about a 11xl, or anything else large with about 1600kv, like a 1515?

I am going to run a KB45 8xl, 1700kv, on 6s lipo in a crt conversion. Should be a bit lighter than your savage though. I have the same savage as you and will most likely use a 14xl on 8s lipo.

Linc, have you ran your kb45 8xl yet? I am looking into getting on for the savage. Needs a boost in power.

I have not ran the 8xl, but I have run the 10l on 4s lipo in my gtp. It has tons of power and does not get hot, barely warm after 20mins or so. I have no idea how powerful the xl motors will be. I plan to run the 8xl on 6s in the crt, and the 10xl will be run on 8s in an aftershock. Looking at the interior of these beasts, and the performance of the l can in the gtp, I have a feeling these will easily blow away an xl feigao.

Thats great to hear because I have the Feigao 8xl and I need a low end power boost and it looks like the KB45 8xl is my answer.

Go with a 1521 or 1527 in the 1500-1600kv range.

Do you guys think that the KB45 8XL on 5s or 6s would be good? Since it is a 2-poler it should work well with a BK 9920 or 12020. Since this setup is going to be a "cheapo", and will be replaced rather quickly, I'd like to keep it inexpensive.

the KB45 8XL has tonnes of power... I've never used the big maxx before, but compared to my LMT 1950s... the KB-45 has more power... Of course, there's more heat build up due to the lower efficiency of the KB45.... But a fan does help quite a bit... it's awesome on 6S... but 8S is on 8S is just sick... but they pull some amps...

Most powerful, but less amps...

6S KB 45, 8XL may be much for that 9920.. you might need something a tad bigger, but depends on ur gearing too..

Will it fit on the FLM conversion?
