crt.5 ,building and tunning for speed help - 05.03.2008, 02:30 PM

hi just bought a crt.5 , im making it brushless , i allready had a mamba 4600 out of my rustler vxl .. but im unsure of the gearing because of the heat isues , ive just ordered the bore reducer and a 11t pinion .( i geuss i should have got 12 t instead ). but is there a better motor i should get instead of the cm36 motor fitted .. im after the most powerfull motor with good top end , and off the line power ..
its being powered by maxamps 5000 11.1v lipo,s..

plus any other mods are worth doing
..thanks for any help

As far as mods go Mike sell a kit for your truck to lengthen the chassis and it comes w/ a motor mount...here's the link...http://www.rc-monster.com/proddetail...od=rcmcrt.5kit

Also, many forum members have a crt.5 so keep asking as far as the motor selection goes...I am not sure, but, I believe Neu makes a motor that would fit in there...again not 100% sure.....Welcome to the forums!

12T pinon would be to big, running a 4600 and 11.1v battery will be putting out 51060rpm which is probably to much for the little crt.5 and you will be having heating issues
