allright thanks oh would i need anything else to make it work in a erevo except for the single motor mount
The KB-45's bolt spacing is 30mm, and it uses 4mm screws. Standard 540 motors (36mm diameter) use a 25mm or 1in. bolt spacing, and 3mm screws. In other words, the KB-45 will not fit without modifying the motor plate, but even then there probably isn't enough material on the mount to let the motor sit properly.

It will fit in an e revo, as the side mount has a 30mm hole spacing option that will fit a m4 thread bolt. Only issue is that the kb45 has a 6mm shaft, so pinion choice is limited. Mike may be able to get the mod1 pinions made with 6mm bore...
Kershaw designs has the 6mm bore pinions... in a few different tooth choices.
I have run the L can kb45 motors with good success. Not bad temps and they sure are powerful. They do draw some amps so good batteries are required.
i plan to run 6s on the 8xl as well i know about maxamps do you think that the zippyh 3s 5000mah 20c packs would work or are the enerland packs the only way if so where should i buy them
"Its a bird."Its a plane.""It is my E-Revo and bl 5T you idiots."
Geogenesis, do some thinking for yourself. I'm sure you don't need your hand held to go to the toilet, so i'm sure you can figure out if the polyRC packs will fit into the e-revo.
I would aim for a battery that can handle at least 130amp cont....
I run the 8l kb45 in a 1/8 on road car, and it will push a pair of trakpower packs (4900mah 25c, 4s total) hard. You will run 6s, but you are also going to be spinning heavier tires, off road. These motors are great, and inexpensive, but will not like cheap bateries...
