Carbon Fiber GTP - 05.03.2009, 10:51 AM

So I have finished my GTP SSG Graphite Chassis and ESC/Rear chassis brace.I decided not to use the side mudguards.I also widened the chassis on the motor side 6mm.This thing is a rocket,I did some speed runs and with the foam tires its alot easier to control at high speed. It has a Neu 1515.5y/s with mild settings on the MMM and 3s lipo..The fan only came on twice in 70f weather.

Purrrrrrty! I'd venture into some better lipos though, maybe some TP 40c packs?

How is the foam tires on asphalt surface? Does it last long? I have a 1/8 buggy that I put a 1515 1.5D and 5S with a 20/43 gear. The only tires that lasted a long time was the road rage tires. Also can you tell me what kind of tires so I can try one out. I mostly ran in the parking lot. Thanks.

You may want to give these tires a try:

They should last a bit longer than the foams and still provide great traction.

I know they are good for 103mph on a GTP....

That looks like a land rocket. Nice work on the carbon fiber.

Monk,

Is your setup equivilant to the castle 2650 or the 2200? I plan on running the MMM 2200 on 16 and 21V geared at 20/51, metal spur of course. And I am looking for some black 4mm carbon fiber to cut my chassis. Your work has inspired me.

His motor is 4400kv, and he runs it on 3s. That is equivelant to the 2200 on 6s.
