Gearing for bullitproof diffs ? - 11.27.2009, 04:58 AM

Hi !

I'm going to install the bullitproof diff gears in my flux ! and because they have a mutch lower gearing ratio compared to the stock gears,i'd like to know how i chould gear my flux runging on 6s offroad with stock tires ?

The gearing ratio isn't that much different, only a bit less acceleration for a bit more top end from what I could tell and its hard to notice.

43/13 vs 29/9; that's 3.3 vs 3.2 gear ratios, so it ends up being a bit higher gear ratio.

ok !

Chould i go fore a lower gearingthan 20/44t on 6s ? i mostly bash on gravel and grass and sone on snow

Don't honestly think it'd make a noticeable difference. Its really about a .08 difference.

drop down to a 18t pinion if you're that concerned.


They say a good mechanic only needs 2 tools - WD40 & Duct tape. If it moves, and its not supposed to, duct tape. If it doesn't move, and its supposed to, WD40.

i have 43/13 with 52 robinson spur
big joe 40 is this good 13 pinion
would the new 29/9 be good
