How to make my buggy faster?

My jammin x2 only accept max 16 size pinion with 46 slip diff. I m using 1512/2.5d neu. Batt is 4s 5000 zippy@30c.

My EPA is 150% punch at 50%. I tried 70% it's hard to drive. I was thinking the only way is to change higher kv motor.

Anything else I can do wo spending?

Jammin conversion can only accept up to 16 pinion, I tried 17 the meshing was too tight.

The 1512/2.5d could use an extra cell if you want to go faster. It being around 2000kv, 5s would make it go faster without gearing up too high.

Yeah, 5s sounds like the way to go, depending on the esc of course...

5s 5000 for a buggy is too heavy.

I try not To spend too much, I hv a CRT on 6s 5000 n I was planning to buy 6s 3000. If I will buy 5s lipo I will be spending too much.

I m trying to swap my rcm x1 CRT motor mount to my jammin x2 n my x2 jammin motor mount to my truggy. The rcm motor mount can accommodate larger pinions.

Problem is the buggy mount is too short for a 50slip diff. So I need spacers to the mount.

the higher the voltage, the less miliamp you need for the same runtime if you are using4s 5000mah, you can probably use 5s 4000mah. about the same weight

Unfortunately, the only options you have to make it faster are:

- New motor with a higher kv. A CC/Neu 2650 motor runs great on 4s and the higher kv means you don't have to gear as tall and are within your gearing limits of the motor mount.

- Gear higher. I assume your gearing limitations are with the slot length on the motor mount. You might be able to modify the motor mount to lengthen the adjustment slots. A dremel with a carbide cutting bit is probably the best bet here. But, be careful about gearing up too high. 46/16 is already pretty tall. If you gear too high, you will be stressing the ESC as it tries to get an adequate back-EMF signal at low speeds. I personally wouldn't go much higher, if any, that what you are currently geared at.

- Go with higher voltage. 5s would be the best bet. If you are concerned about cost, Turnigy packs might be an option.

No matter what, it is going to cost more if you want more speed. You'll just have to decide which is the cheapest route to take.

or BIGGER TIRES! Try mounting some Savage XL tires on it. It'l go faster....

True, I forgot to mention that. But just remember that going with larger tires is like gearing up and the same caution about gearing too high applies.

i would say the x1 crt mount would be good as its made for the that huge 62t pinion

Problem also the batt tray can only fit 140mm length. So most turnigy packs or 40c pack can't fit. I am trying 17 teeth n see how's the temp. Smaller spur? I think rcm slip smallest is 46

Get rid of the 45/10 diff gears you have and change it to the regular Ofna 43/13 diff gears. I'm currently converting an X2 and that's the first thing I did since I have a bunch of 43/13 diff gears.

46/16 is not tall on an X2 due to the lower diff gears of 45/10. I don't know why Ofna went with this gearing but it sucks when you do a conversion.

I'm using a spur pinion combo of 48/15 on my son's X1 which uses the 43/13 diff gears.
