grind motor shaft? - 08.11.2006, 08:37 AM

I suppose I grind a flat on the shaft for the grub screw because massive amount of power? Or is there a better way?
I reckon to do it with all motors. And I’ll watch the filings so they won't get into the motor....it looks really sealed anyway but better to be safe than sorry:027:

i put a piece of plastic isolation tape over the bearing, and press the hole in it for the shaft. Keeps him nice and sealed.

You indeed need to grind a notch onto it.
