Mbx 5 motor mount ? - 10.17.2006, 09:40 PM

I'm thinking of making another BL buggy. I would be using a mbx 5 that was givin to me by a freind. Does anbody have any pics of the mount on there buggy that griffin made ?.

Damn, you got some good friends...I don't know who Griffin is, but do you want one that is gonna mount the motor on the side or top?

What mount? You were the one that said something aobut a mount that "Griffin" made. I was just wondering if you want one that mounts on above the diff or beside it.

It was a motor mount he had machined. It replaced on of the diff mount's & had a motor mount incorperated into it & the motor was on the side on the chassis.

I'm also converting a mbx 5 to bl...

Here a pic of the motormount i made (7075 T6 alu, weight: 48g; i didn't no trimming yet the mount is just what the machine made...):



The lipoholders will get finished these days, i can't wait on the first runs.

Your mount looks great :027: . Can you still use the mechanical brakes with your mount, like you can with super dave's ?.

No, there needs to be a small hole on the top of the bearing to support the brake-cam..
