I ran my dual brushless today for the first time in a long time. It ran pretty strong, definitly no lack of torque. In fact it stripped out the rear wheels from their hexes. Time to up grade......again.
Anyway, just checking to see if the temps are ok. I did 4 high speed fly-bys and brought it in. Both motors were around 160 degrees and the controllers were about 150ish, batts were barely even warm.
Do these temps seem to be ok? If so I think I am going to gear up more.
Thanks
Is this the dual 7xls on 5s each setup? if so i'd like to see that thing run.I'd get some 12volt fans on the controllers to bring those temps down a bit and then start gearing up carefully. It was never going to be the coolest running setup but man that thing should be fast as hell with good cells.
Hey Promod, how ya doing buddy. I am running 66/24. Thinking about bumping the pinion up to a 25 or 26 though with the addition of some fans.
When are we going to see some more top speed runs from you?
6s on a 9920/7XL? I was told that a 5s should be the max for that combo. Should I be doing a trade in on my 5s' for a 6?
Edit: Actually I forgot, i've got dual 9918's not 9920's, does that make the difference?

No it makes no difference at all.
The 9918 IS the 9920, but the latter is updated with newer software to make the BEC much better than the BEC in the old 9918.
They should equip the 9920 with a good lipo LVC and find a way to medicate the transmitting delimma.
The name is Alawi. You can call me Al.
Nice to meet you!
