AWD can just go more places, handles better and over all a much more capable car, esp for a basher. I know when I had a lot of power in my rustler, anything less than perfect traction would just spin the back out. It was a fraking pain. AWD plants and goes.
As far as the last two options, T4 and B44. These are light and fragile race trucks. They are not good for bashing IMO because they will just not stand up to abuse. The B44 is not that much bigger than a .5, but a .5 can be driven hard on an 1/8th scale track and be just fine.
Otherwise
Crt.5 vs 1/8 truggy:
Very easy conversion. Just as any other truggy. RCM + batt box=done.
Layout for 60mph run:
Racing them w/ Arct1k and RCM Mike @ the barn. I have the power toned down in this one, but see how well they handle the big 1/8th scale track and the huge jumps. You would be sweeping a T4 off this track as dust and bits.
Not trying to sell the truck, but just fairly compare to the 1/10 scale choices listed. Otherwise a Slash is fun, as are the other TRX veh (but 2wd.)
Lastly, I would highly recc a revo over the maxx. Its far more durable, yes its a bit more upfront, but you will save much more in the end w/ less hopups and replacement parts.
My concern is.. The E-Revo normally has the water sealed electronics, what happens with the Novak system? Will it be waterproof as well? (i'm guessing now)
Also what are the differences besides Motor/ESC from the normal E-Revo and Brushless E-Revo?

There are no brushless systems that are "water-proof" castle products are splash resistance, don't submerge it and you should be ok. Getting the motor wet is no big deal, but once again don't submerge it!
I dont plan on putting it in any water but i have ran my RC after its rained and the ground was a little wet still. I dont plan on ever doing that again. But just wondering if the E-Revo would of been alright when brushless.. (i rather not find out the hard way haha)
Thanks for the input.
I'm really excited about getting a E-Revo. Just waiting to see which one i will buy.
What are some hop-up's that are recommend for these things?

Thanks for the recommendation everyone.. I picked up a E-Revo locally from some guy.. It's pretty mint... Ton's of fun!
Here is a picture of the E-Revo nest to my 1/10scale TC4...
But holly $%@^ does it eat up 6cell NiMH batteries quick. He gave me 2x 3600mAh 6Cell Venom packs.
Should i go Lipo? (2s or 3s)
Also, why the hell are the batteries getting so HOT!!!!

Realize this is old, was looking for something else and this thread caught my eye, besides Tom has some un answered questions, the answers of which are...
Yes, go lipo 3s in parralel as long as ur still runing stock u should get 35mins of run time with hard running.
Your venom packs getting scorching hot because they are 3.8AH and if I'm not mistaken have a 15c rating at max, so when you acc hard or go threw tall grass and such it really pulls the amps out of the packs, I know for a fact that if you load in 2 3s 5k zippys in parralel and put a data logger that tracks current and voltage usage your stock electronics will pull 102A from time to time.
Also if you haven't done so yet go brushless its insane and if you ever get worried about 2650 instead of 2200, the 2650 will work fine, received the wrong motor when I ordered my combo but I'm still running the 2650 and I love temps average out so far on a 75 degree day at 135 after 3-5mins of run time with lots of grass acceleration and such.
