Seems like the 30c packs get warmer than others. I ran a 4500 30c fp pack in my lst and it would push 135 at times in the summer. Never puffed and it gives full capacity. I also noticed that this pack would not perform cold, needed to be at least 80f to do anything. Weird. 108 is fine, I do not worry till I get over 120 on a lipo.

You could try spraying them with wd40 and then wrapping them in duct tape...

From my experience Neu lipos do like to be warm, the first min or two of a run the packs didn't have a lot of punch but as soon as the temps came up a bit they where insane.

Not weird at all. My dragsters do not perform well with cold batteries either. Warmer packs have lower IR.

Edit: just noticed this (gtxracer is the devil, 666 posts)

I've warmed packs to 65 celcius to get them going. First speed run, when fully charged & warm is noticably better

Might want to call/email to check on availability before ordering. Someone in a different thread posted that the sale packs they ordered were gone and they had to be refunded, even though the packs can still be added to cart and ordered. The packs were the $29 2S 5000mah I believe.

Crap, I hope that's not true. I ordered 5 of them a few days ago.

I ordered a couple 2S 5000 mah packs also. They just emailed me and said it would take a week and asked if I could wait.

I just got an email from them saying they won't be available for a month. When they do become available, they will be XPi cells.

I got refunded for one of the 3s 4100mah packs I bought. Other is on the way. That's my only complaint with Neu...they don't have a very good online shopping system.
