Cool!! socks.. I love socks!! do they come with toe-protection as well?

i don't know if it's available over the big ocean, but (lot's of words for describing are needed for me now)..........

you guys know these lightweight concrete kind of blocks used for constructions? fireproof, and it is a foam kind of concrete. (with tiny air-cells) As you know air is a good isolator and concrete is not the best fuel for a fire. i want to pick up a few, make some hollow pockets in them and put two onto eachother. Nice for storing them at home. The lipo-sack is nice for traveling though. (if you want to bring your lipo's on your journey, otherwise you are better off leaving the sacks at home..)

Rene i'm not sure on the toe protection LOL:005: . But im thinking i'll just buy some nomex socks & stick my lipo's them & put them in a old ammunition box while there at home. What do you think ?.

I think I read about it on the Traxxas website, but someone mentioned using clay flower pots. I've been giving that some thought and here's my idea;

Take one clay pot and set a slightly smaller one inside so the rim holds it off the bottom, giving you a little air space for insulation. Use a clay pot tray under and as a cap on the smaller pot. Dremel a hole to allow the wires to go through, use a permenant pig tail and seal it in with something fireproof, grout maybe. $10 and HD or Lowes and technically it should be fire proof. Basically the same idea as the "Bunker", just a homemade version.

The only thing I'm not sure about is if the pots will fall apart in a lipo flame out. I know we use to cook over a big one when I was a teen at this one camp spot we had and it held to gether for a LOT of camp fires over a several of years. Last time I was there it was still sitting in the same spot, but that was in the late 80's.

Anyway, sorry...I ramble at times. I guess the only way to know for sure would be to fame out a lipo in it to see. The other issue may be the temp of the lipo without some sort of ventilation. You guys might be able to answer that for me.

Thats a interesting idea, i think the clay would take the hea. But im not sure if it could take the explosin. If you use a top i would put a vent hole in the middle of the top. So the flame will shoot straight up.

Forgive the noob question, but the largest he has is only rated to 4000mah. Aren't most of you guys running higher mah batteries than that?
