it does not matter if u use UBEC or standard RX pack the goal is not use internal bec in the speed control. RX pack means another battery to take care of
UBEC means bit of soldering

I think 6SA123 is too much for the 8XL, its doable but will run hot. I'd go to a 9XL or even 10XL for more reliability.
The only challenge using the CF chassis on a conversion is that it can't be bent, and I'm not sure how easy it is to drill and mount screws into. You'll have to carefully consider how you will mount batts if you go this route.
You'll prolly want a Q125 heatsink as well.
Gearing? I'm running around 16.3:1 using 8XL/4S, but its not set in stone yet. The Revo tranny is pretty adj between the spurs and 2nd gear. Use Brian's calc to try out the gearing combos.

Oh, the RCM motor mount just bolts tot he nitro mount, so if there are not any issues using the nitro motor, the RCM mount should be fine.

The nitro mount is holding up fine in my Revo so far. Using the stock part really helps stiffen the mounting area. Even with the 3.3 stiffening plate, that area is too flexible to use an L type of mount IMO.

The emaxx tranny works well, but you have to mod the chassis opening a little to get it to fit. Also, the screw holes don't quite line up, so you'll have to elongate them. Not to mention making battery trays, but you'd have to do that no matter what.
