after talking to the technical support from castle,it seems to be the problem are from monster's internal BEC cicuitry ,any one try this way yet using external rx packs without any problems?

I'm hoping they are just fixed when I get mine back.
Edit: I really want to drive my truck again. I have a CC Bec here, someone was saying that they ran a receiver pack and the esc worked again. I am really tempted to give this a try.

It worked again but for less than 2 minutes then it quit again. I sent it back to Castle today.

So does this mean that every MMM out there is faulty? & all should be sent back?

If the ESC BEC is dead and you use an external BEC, just treat it like an Opto ESC so that the external BEC powers devices and the brain board.

Final solution for MMM is using external BEC, isn't it?

It certainly won't hurt. It's just too bad since that is one of the advantages of the MMM...

Do you think this will work? I didn't think that it was a good idea because the bec in the Monster still put out about 1 volt, like it wasn't completely dead. I didn't want to ruin an external bec or the brain board.

Unsure. It depends on what is actually wrong with the BEC.
