a 1200 $ ++ setup vs 500 $ setup. The Baja isn't twice faster :|

But the Baja is more than twice bigger...and thats what you are paying for with the Baja, its size. Size comes with a price, and so does speed, so size and speed is just tons of money...

Its not surprising the Baja beat a 1/10 2wd Buggy. It was probably just running 2S Lipo and a sensored BL system (which is mild in comparison to the sensorless systems most of the members here run). I'd easily put my G2R or CRT .5 up against that 5B...I'd destroy it with either one no problem.

A Neu on 6S would surely destroy any 5B if you ask me.

CRT .5: 7075 Ext Chassis, LMT1930/7, FP 25C 3S Lipos, MM

Yeah, and on a local 1/8 track those Bajas look real slow, compared to 1/8 Buggies. With my BL truggie I'd pass them in every corner. They don't stand a chance against my "mild" 4S setup... but that's on a track where top-end does not really matter much... by the time their clutches bite, the BL is already entering the next corner.

I don't know about fully decked out though, but some of those guys seem to take their Bajas pretty serious. For me, on that track, they are more like moving obstacles

Hehe, just playing... whatever floats your boat, eh?

Well, maybe the same as out of the 5B vs 1/10 drag comp??

And hey, isn't the 5B vs 1/8 truck comparison exactly what this thread was about?? At least it says so in the title....

nevermind

From me? Just as I said, I only know the 5B vs 1/8 BL thing on the track, and there it was pretty obvious (to say the least)

Just thought I'd throw in what I have seen from 5Bs vs 1/8 BLs, that's all.

Cheers

Thanks for the replys, your on topic dont worry. the guy is getting a ported 27 kit that i doubt he will get any more then 3HP to the ground (clutch slippage, spool up time, tune, gas mixture ect.) and now i defiantly know i will win. Im going to buy FlightPower batteries, 1 4s , 5s and a 6s all 5000mah. What run time do you think i could get out of this? And is this a good choice to get 1 of each pack? (money is not an issue, i am getting a nice, fat settlement soon)

Yeah, I read my monster max manual (all of it) and there is no adjustment for any LIPO higher then 4s, will i be able to have a low voltage cutoff for a 6s? What would be a good gearing range for the 4s-6s?
