How to wire two batteries in Series - 09.29.2008, 10:03 PM

Hello,

I was wondering if someone could please tell/show me how to make a couple adapter plugs:
1. Adapter to wire two batteries in Series.
2. Adapter to wire two batteries in parallel.

Thanks,
Thomas

in the long run you might as well buy a premade adapter..after buying the wire and plugs and equipment needed...as I have gotten older my time has become more important....

series;

for higher powered systems, I recommend thicker wires;
I use this for my MMM;

I used a "bottom" line.

So how about a triple? All my packs are 2S2P A123's, and I was thinking last night that I might want to have the ability to run 3 packs (to get 6S A123), but then normally I would only run 4S. Can it be done with a jumper wire on the plug that isnt being used?

Of course. You can have as many series or parallel packs as you want. For 3 packs in series, go here and select the correct option

I was more wondering if I could use the same harness when I only run 2 packs, and just plug a jumper across the spot where I'd normally have the third pack. Seems to me that it would work.

Those are different connectors from HobbyCity IIRC. Deans-clones but with the ridges...

Never realized that part of your site existed. Will have to remember for future questions of this nature.
