Wrong, the fan wires are undisturbed when you remove the bottom of the case. The edges of the CCA are very rough fiberglass which makes a great saw. When they break the boards off of the panel they should be at least clean up the edge. For those of you who do not know, boards like this come in large panels that are scored between each individual board & the broken apart at the score lines. This process leaves very rough edges on the boards. The rough edges are not a big issue unless you let them rub against something like fane wires.

Wanna make a bet with me on that... I am 4 for 4 on crimped fan wires, and I sure as hell did not do it opening the case.

People may have issues getting a MMM case open, these are the same people who repeatedly drive their truck into a tree and then complain about its poor build quality and materials. These people also take drool breaks at work and pick their nose constantly.

The fan wire is an issue, not a possible issue. Have you taken a MMM apart yet, or do you even have one? The fan wire is routed between the 2 caps closest to the neg bullet. The slot in the case lip is not directly lined up with that routing so the wire naturally falls in a location that can be crimped.

i was walking through homedepot the other day and had an idea that maybe a some dry wall patch screen would work....maybe place the screen on top of the MMM case that way you won't have to open it if you don't want to....and i do believe that the patch screening is sticky on the other side.....but i haven't tried it yet..

might just be the ticket.

I have had 3 MMM, the fist one died silent BEC death, when i pulled it apart- the fan wire was worndown to the copper
2nd was from a member here who had put some sort of insulation around the wire- looked like textured clear tape, and it worked like a charm, no problems whatso ever..

So don't risk breaking your MMM V3 by trying to "fix" a non-existent issue.

There's a few that has this problem. I have a V2 that I can see the bottom of the heat sink is touching the motor plugs. Would you like me to send it in for your inspection?

I have to agree with you 100000% on this one. How can someone not know how to open the Monster case without causing any damage. A lot of people do sometimes get too excited when they get a RC vehicle or item(s) and tend to just go too fast without taking their sweet time and looking things over first. A lot of mistakes do happen when people don't listen. I've been doing this for basically over 15yrs and I've probably made more mistakes then most of you guys on this forum, but I'm still learning as well. A lot of guys think I know a thing or two, but what I know is basically from what I've learned. So please, take your time when you get your products and ask as many questions before doing something you might not know. Most important though, always listen to the guys who have been there and done that.

He didnt say there were not any out there with the heatsink touching the plugs. He is telling you that even when they are touching it is not a problem. I am working with production to make sure this doesnt happen anymore. That way no has to debate it anymore.

So, if I use my V2, I'll be ok even if all the plugs are touching the heat sink? I just want to be 100% sure that everything will be ok before I use it.
