Lipo just got back, very nice work linc!

Looks great and is very solid..

Did you have any trouble with the Deans connector on the batt? its gummed up something fierce. i almost cried when my charger said "broken connection" But i eventually got it to work with aligator clips.. no biggie just needs a new plug

Unless he completely broke that pack down into individual cells, and rebuilt it from there, each pack would have two balance connectors (two 2s packs in parallel basically). The ideal way to build a 2s2p pack is two 2p packs in series, where there would only be a single balance connector.

Should not be an issue. What brand packs are they? I would break them down into 2 sets of 4 cells and make the packs from there. The cells of each 4s pack are matched so they will make a good basis for the 2s2p packs you want. Pm me for info if you like. I have traxxas connectors and will set you up with a single 2s balance connector per pack. I also have black shrink...

No too bad, I bet it will be easier and quicker than the protek pack I just removed a cell from. That pack had glue all over the terminal end of the lipo. Good if you plan to drop the pack on that end but not good when you try to take it apart!

I have 3 different soldering irons I use to do lipos. Makes quick work of them. Those plus good lighting, pliers ad a bench vise with soft jaws. And very steady hands!!!

I wonder what could of happened to that bad cell

Sorry again linc for the added trouble of the protek pack, and the balance connector lol.

And Thanks again for fixing it, can finally get to running my buggy. I'll post pics of it here with the lipo in it when it arrives
