Yea. That makes sense. How does it do with holding different size packs? I run some big 8000mah 3s packs and some smaller 43509 2s packs. Do you think one size "tube" do it for both sizes?

I may do some experimenting with this idea. I kinda like its simplicity.

Sry, don't have experience on different size of packs. I use only those 6s1p packs. And they hold up fine. Just cut the tubing so tight that the battery won't fall of, if using bigger packs.

You mean those 8000mah and 4300 mah packs? Can't say for sure, I suggest you to get largest diameter inner tube you can find. dh/mountain bike 2.4" inner tube is very thick and wide. Or you could use cars, tractors etc. inner tube too. Should be more durable and thicker. But test for your self and see what's best for you
