I pulled mine out of the case and plasti-dipped everything except the heat sink. I've only run it once so far but it worked just fine.

like with that rubberized coating? or like liquid electrical tape? I Ebay'd 'plati dip' and got all kinds of results.

Problem realy is receiver plugs, you need to put electric grease or something like that to connectors to prevent water from making interference. Its gonna look messy after that.

It's a good idea but unless you bash in an old golddust mine probably unnecessary, I waterproof my boat ESCs and RXs by totally encapsulating them with just flying leads and watercooling pipes sticking out (not good for the air cooled MMM) I have come in from several races to find a hole/split in the hull and the inside filled with water with all the electrics and wiring/plugs submerged, no grease on the plugs and its all been working just fine, just slower from the motor/coupler spinning under water and the boat weighing twice as much as normal.

Hot Bodies Lightning 2 Pro carbon, Mega 22/30/2, MMM, 4s3-5Ah.
Tamiya F201 carbon, Mamba 7700, MM, 2s A123 2.3ah.
Xray XT8, 1518, MMM, 4s5Ah.
Lots of boats.

I stick blu-tack around the rx plugs to block dust. I don't see why it can't be used for keeping water out. Easy to put on/off and a shite load cleaner than grease.
