I run two 3S Lipos actually, but same concept. I wasn't sure if I could do that with the balance taps though, but I guess I can. I have a couple 3S connectors from my Equinox balancer, could I just splice one of them to the other and put the correct end connector on?

There might be info on BrianG's page to help configure that ?

I'd probably pop the case apart and re-secure the cell stack inside.

I thought about trying some of those 4S hardcase myself. Others who bought those report back when you get them to see if you have the same issue as big greg with the loose cells.

big greg maybe send an email to HC so they know what's going on. They might offer warranty, or at least fix the packs in the future.

I dont get the excitement about the hardcase. I know its for ROAR racing but i personally rather strapping my cells down knowing the cells are secure. My tray and placement keeps it from harm.

I'm with you 110%, but at the price and to have the plastic layer of extra safety (even if a mod is nessasary) for puntures and flying debris from hard bashing. Hell yeah I'll buy a a couple

well I desided I have to try them. So I just ordered 2 of the hardcase 4s packs. If I deside to stay with 4s then I will just have to sell my 6s neu and tekin 1400kv motor.

I lost two packs do to stuff getting inside the shrink wrap and creating a small puncture in a cell. Managed to salvage one pack into a 3s but the other pack went bye bye. With my hard packs I can plastidip, hotglue, superglue, whatever the little gap that the wires come out through and feel a bit secure about the individual cells.

I have had a softshell pack go flying from my e-revo on an extreme cartwheel landing thingy and it was gone. I have seen my friends zippy 5k hardshell fly 20 plus feet into the air out of his Savage Flux battery tray and take a pretty hard thud. He had me take it apart to check on it.I took it apart took a glance, and then superglued it back together. Pretty tough little suckers.

The added security doesn't bother me.

I am all for the hardcase pack as long as I am not paying a ridiculous price just to add the case. I haven't had any packs go due to being punctured but I dont mine the added security. Hate that my neu pack has marks in it from running in my 8th scale offroad.

$200+ for most of the 4s hardcase packs I cant justify. 2 of these for $101 shipped sounds good to me. Look forward to trying them out.
