Ebay used to be a lot of fun for me, it's gotten to the point you have to suck buyers butt cheeks just so you dont get a negative FB regardless how accurately you described the item or if it's perfect ETC. The buyers have all the power now and the seller is basically at the mercy of the buyer. But yet the seller is the one who gets punished all the time, seller fees, final value fees, PP transfers and then we cant leave a Neg FB for the dickhole who sends payment a week after the auction ends with zero comunication, or the Tool that nitpicks every little detail trying to get some $$ back through extorsion.
Befor when sellers could leave Neg FB I hardley ever had a non-paying bidder/winner, Now it's several a month. Yeah we get the listing fee credit after jumping through hoops and the buyer gets a "Non paying bidder mark". Wow, thats gotta hurt. What a farking joke !
My FB score is nearly a 1000 now and I've worked hard to make people happy and now with all those rule changes I'm always anticipating a Neg FB or some sort of problem until the seller leaves a FB because they can get away with near murder now. I dont sell as much as I used to anymore, the forums or Craigslist seems far easier even tho the item exposure is much less.
Not only is Ebay almost not worth the hassle anymore it's the buyers whom make Ebay much more of a chore than it needs to be, people suck ?

Power take over. - 10.17.2010, 12:44 AM

This whole thing smells of a power take over or even a good time for some unknown to step in and develop a new auction site. This would be a great time for one of you guys with no job and looking for work to setup a new site and take the feet right out from under Ebay. Things have gotten to the point with Ebay that they are losing some serious business and need to move on to another edeavour.

I'd bet if anyone tried to start another auction business ebay would buy them out befor it got off the ground if it was a serious enough threat to any profits of theirs. The greedy bastids
