Definitely let us know when you get that spring rate calculator up and running. Maybe we (well, you but I'd be happy to contribute) could even start a database of springs, with rate, length and diameter, # of coils, etc. Like the other ones you have for motors and dogbones. Many shock springs are rated, but I think even more aren't. It would be nice to be able to compare actual rates, instead of just "the red springs are soft, the blue are medium."

Been awhile since I used the calculator, I noticed a few changes. You took out the 1/8 buggy & truggy typical diffs and replaced them with RC8 and RC8T. There is a problem with this, the RC8 buggy uses a typical truggy diff ratio 4.3:1, so if someone uses the calculator and doesn't know this they may have a problem

No, the "typical" diffs are still there. Look under "miscellaneous". Or, type in "typical" in the search field in the drop-down.

HPI GT-2 Tires... 160mm/6.3" diameter.

Btw the "Proline 3.8 Big Joes" are the same thing as the "Proline 40 Series Big Joe"; just have a duplicate tire. The "Proline 3.8 Trenchers" tires are a 40 series too. Proline has the, the 40 series, listed on their website as " 3.8" (40 Series)".

Are you sure it's 41T? I was looking on Tower to get the pitch and the only spur I could find for the mini STE was 42T Mod1...

I'd have to count, but IIRC the 10SC uses a 42t and the STE a 41t. I'll let you know once I count mine.

Brian, are you still considering adding the spring rate calculator to the site?

Can you add the Mugen MBX6e into the calculator? Diff ratio is 44/13. Thanks man! Center dif spur gear is 44T or 46T both sizes come with the kit.

Also, can you add the Losi SCTE? Same dif ratio as the Ten-T but just making it easier to find is all. Center dif has a 40T mod1 gear on it. I also didnt see the RCM 52T 32 pitch Ten-T gear on the list.


BTW. Every time I use your site I'm always amazed at how much useful info there is there!! Keep up the great work!!.

Update:

Added a couple new sections to the Lipo Wiring page; 1) A section showing a more real-world diagram of how lipo packs are wired, and 2) a section showing how to measure individual cell voltages.

Might not be much use to many people here, but I've seen questions relating to these things often at various places.
