People here hate Nitro, I love it. I start it, run it about 50 ft from me and it dies, I go after it. Perfect exercise

Not exactly a Tamiya fan, but it actually looks decent. Wonder how it wil compare to other larger truggies like the losi muggy.

The dogbone goes inside the tranny and is connected to the pinion there...

That looks cool... would be a killer BL conversion. I think it would be easy to do.... just put a outdrive cup on the motor shaft and strap it down using a *cough* finedesign *cough* style motor mount.

Only problem I see with this is for a BL conversion is changing the gearing. I cant quite tell if you can change the pinion gear inside that transmision.
Very diferent... I'll give em that!!!
I can't decide if its more fun
to make it...
or break it...

yeah... you would need to get the motor right cause you might have to just swap motors instead of gears. ;)
*cough*
tough to get rid of this dang cold, hee hee

I just noticed that it has a built in slipper clutch on the back of that transmision. You dont see that everyday on a nitro. Now it looks like it was meant to be coverted to Brushless:018:
I wonder if thats a diff inside that transmision.?????? If it is, this is looking more and more like a Tamiya Sliperential that might be adaptable to just about any truggy or buggy.

I was about to post a thread about the Nitrage( the name does not harmonize with our powerplants, though).
I then stopped and changed my mind.
Larry preceded me to it.
The name is Alawi. You can call me Al.
Nice to meet you!

So we rename it the Electrage or the Erage
I was looking at this Im not sure I would even try and convert this one. The chassis doesnt look to friendly for laying out a BL system with the batteries. The whole truck doesnt really look that tough. I am interested in the transmision though. Im wondering how tough it really is. I have never had a Tamiya before. I kinda just always tought of them as borderline toys.
