To be or not to be, The brushless wars - 02.01.2008, 12:11 AM

Well, I have been using Castle Creations for a long time and my dedication to them is pretty good, but I am never tied to one maker. As when I first started racing. My ties were to Reedy (LRP), then Novak for the power systems. See, I feel that every now and then a change of arms has to be made and a new voice must be heard. I totally respect castle and am really intrested in what their MMM will do regardless of when it's release time is. Mamba has always been good systems and with time comes the working out of the bugs. But that is technology! I doubt your computers have ever missed an update from Microsoft or Apple. But then after many years beaten and buried. Out of the dust comes the once great TEKIN. Many many years ago I had used TEKIN and really never hated them, Didnt like them either. But it seems that like most things. Time has a way of working out the problems and renewing the fire that all dragons breath. The Monster brushless system they are introducing seems to be something else and not many people are talking about it. My thoughts are they are very proud of their products and are aiming high to impress the monster crowd. Novak for some reason would had been my second choice of entering the ring of fire, but all I see is a ring of smoke poping out their tiny brains, and what do they bring to the table? Conversion kits that have no real inginuity to them! At least Reedy is making a come back by bringing a 5400 lipo. Maybe the sister company (LRP) will break out of their shell and release a MT brushless system. My final thoughts. Well No matter how you slice it mamba is making the best descision ever by incorpeating the ESC with one of the best motor manufacturers out there. I know there are a few others that match the design, technology, and unsurpassed performance. Nue motors are a force to be reckoned with and this ESC from Castle should be the cats meow with a price tag that screams backorder, backorder, backorder. This can only mean one thing to me. Look out for skyrocket ebay prices that hit the HPI market when they released the Grave Robber body. Prepare for a new era boys and girls. I feel a whirlwind will come and the remains of nitro engines resting in a mound that once was a fuelie RC heaven. R.I.P Nitro, Rest in peace.

It's not just paint! It's an Attitude!
