those plates will go in for you no issues. just apply pressure when you your getting it into place and the screws will go in. I would switch to aluminum braces however, then you will have no issues.
i have carbon fiber bulk head plates but this isnt my truck

larsen at PRC makes some great stuff, although tha tis some rough finishing work. you will love the parts tho, virtually unbreakable, and if you do there backed by warranty. not to mention the sexy look!
