Neu finned vs smooth temps?

I'd bet he was probably talking about in a airplane setup.

But, yes there is no disputing the fins will dissipate more heat than a smooth can. But in most properly set up applications in cars I have rarely hear of many complaining that their Neu motor is running to hot if there want some other problem causing it. I personally don't think the fins are needed, but I guess than can be nice insurance.
