1515 neu motor question

ok can any one tell me what would be best a finned 1515/2.5d
or the smooth version
is there any diffrence in the way they keep cool
or does the fins make no diffrence
i do have a finned type useing on a old emaxx type g/box and it makes it difficult to lean the motor over to use a smaller pinion
