Thats true, but the latch mechanism would pretty difficult (not to mention not very cost effective) to make. I think perhaps something like a toolbox or airlid for a car has and use bullet connectors instead. Maybe have the lipo case make in a relatively universal size so people couple just use there existing lipo packs and just adapt them to the case? The latch idea I was refering to is just a notch on the top of the front or side of the pack and a latch that catches it and flips down, like alot of the plastic toolboxes use.

Oh, and Serum was working on a really simple, yet effective design quite a while back. Can't remember exactly how it worked though.
